Worlds First Trace Heating Machine For Sub-Sea Pipeline

 

TechnipFMC needed to apply four trace heating cables and two fibre-optic cables to 1km lengths of pipeline to be made into sub-sea pipeline. Walmsleys took this requirement and designed and built the worlds first machine for completing this task.

This machine is now in use and there are already trace heated pipelines in use on the sea-bed.
